A Massive Improvement in Orlando
A rising sun highlights another fantastic coaching day at Omni ChampionsGate Resort!
As you know, this past January I moved my Orlando location to the Omni ChampionsGate Resort. The move to ChampionsGate has been nothing short of amazing. For me and my clientele.
Omni ChampionsGate Resort and its 2 Greg Norman designed golf courses provide a fantastic opportunity for you to experience a world class resort while making improvements to your golf skills. Its practice facility offers a variety of targets and conditions to train in. And its short game facilities (yes, multiple) provide an outstanding arena to create touch and feel from around the greens.
Since moving to Omni ChampionsGate, I’ve been extremely busy. I can’t thank enough for their genuine warmth and hospitality Patrick Dill/Director of Golf, Dion Muhammad/Head Professional, Sandra Changkija/Lead Assistant Professional, as well as the entire staff for making me feel at home and part of their family!

I’m Going to McLemore Resort!
Unless you live under a 
golf course somewhere, you’ve probably seen or heard me mention McLemore more than once. Beginning May 1, 2024, I’ll be serving as the seasonal Director of Instruction of McLemore Resort. I’ll return to the Orlando area for the winter and spring seasons November 1, 2024. This is the first time I’ve ever attempted a seasonal opportunity. And with the excitement comes a responsibility to keep my clients and potential clients informed.
While at McLemore, I do have the following dates scheduled to return to Orlando to schedule golf coaching programs with existing and new clients. Those dates are:

- July 22-26, 2024
- August 26-30, 2024
- September 23-27, 2024
I suggest that if you intend to schedule a golf coaching program with me during the summer, you do so now for one or more of the dates listed, to insure availability. These dates will fill quickly.
Where is McLemore Resort and Why Go There?
McLemore Resort is arguably the hottest new golf resort in the country, if not in North America. Located on Lookout Mountain GA, 2300+ feet above sea level, offers a world-class golf experience with its existing course, The Highlands. As well as with its newly opened 5-star hotel property, Cloudland at McLemore Resort. And with its new course, The Keep, opening in late August, McLemore Resort will become a golf destination golfers from around the world will put on their “must play” list.
McLemore is approximately 30 minutes southwest of Chattanooga Tennessee, in the far northwest corner of Georgia. It’s approximately a 9.5-hour drive from the Orlando area. It is a 2-hour drive to Atlanta and 90-minutes from Huntsville, Alabama.

In addition, the staff at McLemore and I have scheduled 3-to-1 group golf schools for most weekends between May and October. These group golf schools will be conducted primarily by one of the assistants at McLemore, supervised by me. Included in every 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 Full-Day Golf School at McLemore Resort is 9-holes of On-Course Coaching
You can schedule my traditional 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 full-day golf school programs for dates convenient for your schedule. As always, full-day golf school programs feature 3-hours of instruction each morning, followed by lunch at the award winning The Creag Restaurant. And then 9-holes of on-course coaching on McLemore’s Highlands Course. You’ll want to complete the round on your own so you can play the 10th best finishing hole in all the world, as ranked by Golf Links Magazine. I’ll also be offering half-day golf schools, 3-hours of practice facility only coaching. But if you want to do a half-day with me and work on your short game, you’ll most likely experience The Cairn, McLemore Resort’s 6-hole short game course. It features small and fast greens, with yardages ranging from 40-95 yards.
My most popular program, Custom Coaching, is available at McLemore. Custom Coaching is private golf coaching, designed around your individual needs and improvement goals. You can schedule as much or as little time as you want with each coaching session. And can use your coaching time at the practice area, on the course, or on The Cairn. Custom Coaching is purchased in 5-, 10-, 15-, and 20-hour blocks of time. And those who purchase 10 hours or more receive a complimentary skills evaluation prior to starting your coaching hours with me. Natural Beauty and More Than Golf to Like
One of the highlights of McLemore, to me, is its “deadly silence”. I was conducting a golf school last spring when on the 18th hole, me and my clients were waiting for someone in our group to hit their approach shot to the award-winning 18th hole of The Highlands Course. Doing so, we all became distinctly aware of how quiet it was. And when the golfer hit her shot to within 5 feet, she turned to me and stated, “did you feel what I felt, the deadly silence?” At that moment, we all knew that McLemore provided us a one-of-a-kind golfing experience, found nowhere else in North America.
Besides the tranquility of McLemore, the area boasts many species of vegetation found nowhere else in the world. And hiking trails that are hundreds of years old. Hang gliding over McLemore Cove. And amazing sunrises and sunsets.
A fantastic line up of the country’s best singer songwriters will grace the natural stage of McLemore Resort this summer.
